P.A.T Testing

 

 

Portable Appliance Testing or P.A.T Testing is a required electrical safety test performed on every electrical appliance. Every plug, lead and fuse is checked visually and using the most up to date, calibrated test instruments to make sure they comply with the following codes and regulations;

 

I.E.E Code Of Practice

 

Electricity At Work Regulations 1989

 

Provision and Use Of Work Equipment Regulations 1998

 

Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

 

Your appliances should also be tested regularly to;

 

minimise risk of fire and injury caused by any electrical appliance

 

be part of your Fire Risk Assessment compliance
